Scallop curves on Aldeburgh beach, Suffolk

A section of Maggi Hambling’s scallop sculpture on the beach at Aldeburgh, the town in the distance.

The scallop has the line “I hear those voices that will not be drowned” along the top, from Peter Grimes the opera by Benjamin Britten who lived in Aldeburgh.
